good morning today is Wednesday September 28th 2022   today is the feast days of Saint Wenceslas and Lorenzo Ruiz and his companions King  Wenceslas  ruled Bohemia or todays  Czech Republic in the 10th Century he stood up for Christian values and was martyred for the faith.  St. Lorenzo Ruiz was also martyred along with 15 others when they would not give up their Christian faith He is the First Filipino martyr in the scripture reading today God tells Moses that on the Sabbath or holy day the Hebrew people should rest and devote their day to God a reading from the book of Exodus the Lord said to Moses six days you shall work but on the seventh day you shall rest even in plowing time and in harvest time you shall rest the best of the first fruits of your ground you shall bring to the house of the Lord your God the Lord said to Moses write these words in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel Moses assembled all the congregation of the Israelites and said to them these are the things that the Lord has commanded you to do Six days shall work be done but on the seventh day you shall have a holy Sabbath of solemn rest to the Lord you shall kindle no fire in all your dwellings on the Sabbath day the word of the Lord thanks be to God so here we see God telling Moses to tell the Hebrews that they should rest on the seventh day how does that relate to yesterday's  Bible passage about God and resting on the end of the seventh day of creation  Do you see may be a little bit of how those go together?  why do you think God told the Hebrews about the seventh day as using it as a day for rest.  today we'd like to wish happy birthday to Adriana in grade 3 please remember to say our morning prayers, Pledge of Allegiance and school  pledge with your class before you start your day Have a great day and I'll see you in the hallways
