good morning today is Wednesday September 14th 2022 on this day the Feast of the exaltation of the Holy Cross we celebrate God's greatest work our Salvation from Death by His Son's death on the cross and His Resurrection today and tomorrow we will hear Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan He told this story to explain what it means to follow the Commandment to love your neighbor in Jesus' time a priests and Levites were both holy men who works in the temple but neither helps the injured man who they considered to be unclean a reading from the holy Gospel According to Luke but wanting to just to justify himself the lawyer asked Jesus and who is my neighbor Jesus replied A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into the hands of robbers who stripped him beat him and went away leaving him half dead now by chance a priest was going down that road and when he saw him he passed by on the other side So likewise a Levite when he came to the place and saw him, he passed by on the other side the gospel of the Lord praise to you Lord Jesus Christ think about this today have you ever seen someone fall and hurt themselves what did you do maybe not even just fall and hurt themselves but make a mistake in class or get injured playing a sport or  outside at recess what did you do is there something maybe you should have done differently today I'd like to wish a very happy birthday to Cassandra in grade 8 please remember to say your morning prayer, Pledge of Allegiance and the school pledge with your class before you start the day and I will see you in the hallways have a great morning
