Good morning boys and girls Today is Friday January 22nd 2021 I hope you have some nice plans for the weekend Today we celebrate the Feast Day of St. Vincent Pallotti St Vincent lived in the late 1700's He lived in Spain and he is well known for his works of service He dedicated himself to God and and dedicated himself to helping others but the way he did it was by bringing groups of people together to work together to help the poor To build schools, to build an orphanage He was a great organizer and was able to accomplish a lot because he was able to bring in people who would help him with his goal Today boys and girls in the reading of Saint Paul we hear about how wonderful it is and how we should rejoice in being followers of Jesus and Saint Paul says not to celebrate with as we sometimes do with parties We are used to celebrating different events birthdays and anniversaries and things like that with big parties Saint Paul said rather than celebrating with music and big celebrations Let's celebrate that we are followers of Jesus by using gentleness patience and prayer Today boys and girls we pray for the legal protection of unborn children Let us pray in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen We give you thanks O loving God for the gift of life We pray for mothers fathers and all children those unborn and all who especially need your protection We ask this in Christ's name Amen In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen trivia questions Yesterday's question was What kind of tree do acorns come from? and the answer is the oak tree and now your question for today What is the closest star to Earth?
