All About 3B

Welcome to Third Grade! The subjects that are included in our curriculum are Math, Reading, Language Arts, Spelling/Phonics, Social Studies, Science, and Religion. In third grade, we will also make the transition from printing to cursive writing.

In class, we create a balanced learning environment by blending academic studies with interactive discussions, note-taking, hands-on projects, and educational games that support what we’re learning in each subject. We also integrate technology through the use of chromebooks, promethean board lessons, and educational videos to help us deepen our understanding of new concepts. Additionally, we explore the writing process through creative writing projects, which we proudly showcase on our hallway bulletin board!

      Biography Day is the highlight of our busy year!  The students choose a historical figure from the past or present and read all about their lives and accomplishments.  Reports are written to reflect what we have learned. At the end of the year, parents and guests are invited to attend a Biography Day presentation where our students read their reports while dressed as their famous person.

  * Our third grade class will also host the Thanksgiving Prayer Service and the First Friday liturgy in January this year.
