good morning boys and girls welcome back to school it's Monday September 28th 2020 and I hope you had a wonderful weekend I enjoy some time with my family and I spent a little bit of time relaxing as well so welcome to the new week this is actually the last Monday of September Today boys and girls we celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Wenceslas and Lorenzo Ruiz and Companions now St. Wenceslaus was a King, he actucally was a king in the 10th century and he did many good things for many people and he was murdered for his faith and not giving his faith up.  Lorenzo Ruiz and companions were also martyred they were 15 Companions and we know that they are 15 friends they work together to share their faith with people and were martyed because of it St. Lorenzo was very first Filipino martyr today boys and girls in the reading comes from the book of Chronicles Now the book of Chronicles is a history book almost that's the best way I can describe it to you the history book the authors are unknown but what we do know is that the book of Chronicles begins with book one and it talks about the genealogy or a family list so that first book of Chronicles talks about many names starting with Adam and it gives the genealogy or the history of people leading up to the the Israelites Now in this particular book particular reading today talk to all about praising God for all his wonderous gifts to us it talks about David who had ministers come to him and he appointed them in charge of music to praise God so there were some ministers that play Trumpets some that played symbols but what they did was they talked about God and praised him with music words and song that kind of reminds me of the mass because I know when we go to mass we sing and we pray and all of that is in praise of God I was told growing up that when you sing you actually pray twice and so this reading reminds me of the mass that we are able to attend Alright let's pray in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen Holy Lord we sing your praise and make known your wonderful Deeds Alleluia We glorify your Holy Name Alleluia we pray in Christ's name Amen in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit amen boys and girls have a wonderful Monday
