good morning boys and girls I hope you are all well on this beautiful spring day me Spring days are beautiful whether it's raining or the sun is shining because it is a time of renewed a Reaper I love watching our birds at our feeder and I love watching them build nests I love watching the flowers bloom and my vegetable garden beginning and the trees also it's a wonderful time of year I know that most of you by now have heard that our school be closed for the remainder of the school year Governor Murphy made that decision yesterday and I know was in girls I can tell you what a very very difficult decision it must have been for him he had many things to weigh before allowing us to go back to school really feel that for our safe it's best that we not returned so we need to look ahead we need to look for that renewed hope I know many of you are disappointed I have close to my heart my Raiders will not be able to have some of the Traditions that they normally would have an academy and what you were expecting and deserve you work for it our second graders with their May crowning and of course our kindergarteners with their graduation the rest of the classes I know have disappointments our class trips were cancelled at a time when we could be out enjoying our recess time because of nice beautiful warm weather but it's okay we can move on and we will move on we are making plans to change our tradition for a little bit for this year and as soon as we know exactly what our plans are we will share them with you boys and girls when I came on as your principal in September and I realized that our mascot was the bulldog I of course had to look up the Bulldog I am definitely an animal fan and I had not really ever met a bulldog what I found out that by Nature Bulldogs are friendly they are calm and they are courageous those are the three words that are used to describe a bulldog and that's exactly who we are we are friendly we are calm and we are we are going to go in the next few weeks with and and we are continuing to be friendly with our peers boys and girls we are more we are they still community-wide guiding us I'm not sure what God's plan is right now for us you know what I feel confident and trust that he's leading Us in the direction that he wants us to be so this is the plan this is what I want us to do with your teachers and I are going to you work as hard as we possibly can to make sure that you are academically where you need to be in September I want you all to continue boys and girls to work hard please don't be discouraged Zoom meetings are terrific and I've been on just about every classes resume at one time or another the truth because you would at least it interact with your classmates. the governor is also reinstating your ability to go to park and little by little things are going to be opening up for you please remember safe distance wear masks can you do wash your hands when you can get outside please do so the plan is you're going to relax and and enjoy the rest of the school year you're going to work hard academic side and play as often as you can I also want you to remember to smile everyday or right when we smile we see something on the outside but we feel it on the inside look for those godwinks boys and girls I love you all very much we're all in this together we're going to get through this together kind to yourself be kind to your parents I'm working so very very hard with you and if I find things out that you will need to know for the remainder of the school year I promise you I will let you know play boys and girls your son
