Mr. Pacifico
I am extremely excited about teaching 5th grade this year at the Academy of Our Lady. After engaging students for more than 24 years in new models of learning, using sound educational judgments, an
d focusing on standards of CCSS frameworks, I now come full circle back to parochial education where I started my current and ongoing career. This fall of 2024 will be my 25th year of teaching in an elementary classroom and it feels like my 1st because of all the excitement and adrenaline of starting off the school year where I belong!
I started my career in the fall of 2000 at a small parochial school in Jersey City, called St. John and Annes. It was one of the best teaching years of my entire life. I loved going to church every morning and teaching about Our Lord! The next year I moved to the Public School in Jersey City where I worked for 21 years teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade! I then took my career to Florida for a couple of years to teach 2nd grade, but my heart was always in NJ. So now I’m back in a parochial classroom in the county I grew up in and I’m just so happy and excited to be back teaching in this great state!
