Procedure for calling in an absence - When a child will be absent for any reason, the parent or guardian is asked to call the school nurse by 8:45 am at 201-444-3890 to report the absence.  If no call has been received by 9:00 am the School Nurse will attempt to verify the absence

Returning to School - When a student returns she/he must have a note stating the date of and reason for the student's absence signed by a parent or guardian.  This is mandatory on the day the child returns to school.  A doctor's note is required for any prolonged absence of five or more days.
