About the Teacher

Mrs. Laurie Kane 

 

I am a graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and English. After working in TV and radio for a few years, I went on to get my Masters Degree in Broadcast Journalism from New York University. In 1997, I was blessed to start my family and didn't return to the workforce until 2008. I then became a preschool aide in the 4 year old class at the Ridgewood Cooperative Nursery School for 6 years. I'm proud to say my two daughters, Katie and Caroline are graduates of Academy of Our Lady! Besides being a class mother, I was involved in fundraising and planning events for several years at AOOL. I have been teaching 3 and 4 year olds at AOOL for the last 5 years. I'm thrilled to be working with the 3 year old class again this year! AOOL holds a very special place in my heart!
