The smooth running of the library/media center depends on dedicated volunteers.  Mrs. Ross has graciously agreed to coordinate the volunteers this year.  She can be reached at lross@academyofourlady.org  There are various opportunities for parents and grandparents to share their talents.  Some volunteers help straighten out and decorate the library.  Others shelve books and/or volunteer when classes are in the library to assist the students in selecting books that are appropriate to their interest and reading ability.  Volunteers also help catalog new books on our Athena computerized catalog system.  They help prepare books for the shelves.  A fun job is using the computer and scanner to check out books for the students.  Often a parent will come when their child's class is scheduled to get to know the students in the class better. (2008-09 schedule below, First Friday schedule follows too).  

      First Friday's schedule varies depending on the time of Mass and whether we are following an A or B schedule. A schedule this year is followed on 10/3, 12/5, 3/6, and 5/1. B schedule is followed on 11/7, 2/6, 4/3, 6/5. The library class schedule follows:
