Teacher: Mrs. Rosemary Guglielmo

                Rosemary Guglielmo has been teaching at the Pre-K level at Academy of Our Lady for the last 29 years.  Prior to this period she was an elementary school teacher both for the New York City Board of Education and the Charleston, South Carolina school system for a number of years.  She has a total of 35 years experience in Pre-K, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades.  But the best place of all is the Pre-K.

                Every year Mrs.G reviews the curriculum in order to find additional ways to present pre-school academics in creative and enjoyable ways.  Children are encouraged to work at their own speed and in ways that are most interesting to them.  They have been to Noah's Ark, Under the Sea, In the Garden, Into the Jungle and more.  This classroom is a great place to be.

                In addition to the regular Pre-K Mrs. G. also runs a summer play camp at the beginning of each summer.  The camp program is for three, four and five year olds. 

Aide: Mrs. Lisa Tierney 

Teacher: Mrs. Denise Trynosky, BA/MS

                Mrs. Denise Trynosky teaches the Four Year Olds both in the morning and afternoon.  She is an experienced Early Childhood Educator  for thirty-one years and began her career at P. S. 15K, Brooklyn, NY.  For the last twenty-three years she has devoted herself to nurturing hundreds of pre-school age children!  Not only is she an experienced teacher but she is also an experienced mom in that she has raised four children all of whom have graduated from St. Catharine/St. Catharine Interparochial/Academy of Our Lady School!  Obviously she is totally committed to Catholic education which is so evident in her classroom!

Mrs. Trynosky is a certified teacher of grades Pre-K through Grade 8 in both New York and New Jersey.  She earned her B. A. at St. Joseph's College, Brooklyn, NY and a M.S. in Early Childhood Education at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.

Teacher: Mrs. Allene Kiess, BS/MA

                  Mrs. Allene Kiess has her B.S. From Syracuse University and her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Adelphi University.  She taught in nursery school for five years in Manhattan before starting her family.  She and her family reside in Glen Rock with their four children (all of whom attend Academy of Our Lady)!  She is very excited about getting back into the classroom again!

Enrichment Program:  Mrs. Susan Piermatteo

                    Mrs.Susan Piermatteo has worked with Mrs. Trynosky in the past and she has recommended her highly.  Mrs. Piermatteo received her B.S. from Brooklyn College of The City University of New York and her M.S. from The College of Staten Island, NY.  She taught ten years in New York City.  Mrs. Piermatteo is enjoying her fourth year as Academy of Our Lady's Enrichment teacher!
