How are birthdays celebrated in KD?

Summer birthdays are celebrated on the child's half-birthday school birthdays are celebrated on or around the birthday.  Just let Mrs. Di Piano know when you'd like to send in a treat. Usually it's something small to eat and a napkin.

What do I do if my child is sick?

Call the nurse's office the day your child will be out and please send in a note explaining the absence upon his/her return to school.

What is "Friend of the Week"?

Each child is assigned on week of the school year during which he/she brings in items which tell us something about her/him. Monday, bring in six pictures,
Tues., a souvenir, Wed., a favorite book, Thurs., a favorite treasure and Fri., a favorite snack to share with the class....PLEASE NO PEANUTS OR PEANUT OIL.
The "Friend of the Week" schedule is given out at Back to School Night.  If you need another, ask Mrs. Di Piano.  A reminder will be sent home the week before it's your child's turn.

Who is Bailey?

Bailey is our classroom mascot who visits with one student each night.  There is a page which goes along with his visit.  Please return Bailey and the work page placed in his book the next morning.
