bulletWill there be a Science Fair every year?

  Every year there will be a Science Expo.  One year this will be a Science Fair.   The next year we will have Independent Research Project Expo.  This will provide the students in our Junior High Science classes with the opportunity to complete two different types of research and projects.    Each will involve students' presentations and open displays of their completed work.  This Science Fair takes place in the Spring.

 

bulletIs summer reading required?

  YES ... Summer reading is a requirement.  All students received the guidelines for summer reading with the report cards on the last day of school.  A total of three (3) books MUST be completed.  Please follow the guidelines as directed.

bulletWhat are the requirements for Accelerated Reading?

     All Literature students in seventh grade are required to read three AR books for each trimester. Three tests must be taken and passed.  The books must be 6.0 or above in reading level unless approved by teacher.

bulletHow are trimester final grades determined?

       Final grades for the trimester will be determined by an evaluation of class work, participation, assignments, labs, reports, projects, quiz average, and test average.

bullet  What will be the Literature projects for the year?

         The students will read a Classic Book  and prepare a written and power point presentation. There will be an oral presentation for the class.  The Classic Book must be approved before the project begins.  This is the second trimester project.

          For the third trimester, all students will select one author and obtain teacher approval.  Students will read three(3) books by the same author and complete a project following the given guidelines and directives.
