What is our monthly Accelerated Reader (AR) goal? One AR book per month, regardless of the point value is required.  The AR book can also be the book used for the monthly book report.

What is the format of the monthly book report? The book report may take the form of a sheet with a variety of questions.  These questions allow the children to further explore the context of their reading.  Additionally, sentence writing, punctuation, and capitalization skills are reinforced.  Monthly book reports can also have a more creative format.  For example, the children enjoy designing shadow boxes with accompanying summaries of a favorite moment in their books.
