|
| Special classes: Monday: Library; Tuesday: Gym; Wed: Computer; Thursday: Art; Friday: Music...starting in September | |
| Practice basic addition and subtraction facts at least twice a week, for approximately 15 minutes per practice session. Basic addition and subtraction facts are the foundation of most of what we do in third grade math, so please "keep current" with them. Multiplication and division facts will be introduced and practiced throughout the school year, while we continue to build upon our basics in addition and subtraction. Memorization of basic addition and subtraction facts, as well as multiplication and division facts, as they are introduced; is essential. | |
| Read at home for at least 15 minutes daily. | |
| Your monthly Accelerated Reader goal will consist of reading one third grade level AR chapter book and passing the AR test for that book. This monthly Accelerated Reader goal is to be met every month during the school year through the month of May. The AR book that you read and test on does not include books and stories that we read together as a class. | |
| Every month, a book report will also be
assigned. It will be due on the last day of the month. The
Accelerated Reader book that you are reading for that month can also be
used for your book report.
