Monday Morning Math
Challenge
Each year I like to
offer the children in my class an opportunity to have small group experiences
within our classroom setting. I start with Monday Morning Math Challenge for
any student in my class who has a strong understanding of the basic math and is
ready to experience complex math concepts.
Ready Readers Morning Reading Group
Ready Readers is a
morning reading group for children who are able to read independently. The
focus will be on six different reading comprehension skills: finding facts,
detecting a sequence, learning new vocabulary through context, identifying main
idea, drawing conclusions, and making inferences. Mastering these skills will
ensure that your child has the necessary tools needed for a lifetime love of reading.
Cooking
Up Math and
Summer
Camp 2009

Mrs. Coleman
Girls and boys entering
grades 1, 2, & 3 will explore using math and reading while cooking up tasty
snacks treats! We will also incorporate crafts and outdoor fun into their day.

Tutoring for Remedial and Enrichment
Tutoring services are
available after school and Saturday. Please see Mrs. Coleman for more
information regarding this program.
