MORNING ARRIVAL

Entry Policy
All students in grades Kindergarten through Grade 8 will enter into Church and assemble in the section indicated on the floor plan with their class.  Students are expected to be silent and reverent upon entering Church.  School side entrances will remain locked.

All Kindergarten thru grade 8 Students enter via the bell tower entrance.

Students will proceed into Church assigned areas only (see map)

Morning Care students will be escorted to Church by the Morning Care teacher/s.

Bus students/walkers will enter Rodney St. and enter Church directly.

 

At 8:12 AM we will begin Morning Prayer and attendance.  Students will leave with their homeroom teacher for class.  Parents who wish to join us for Morning prayers may sit in the labeled section on the right by Community Hall doors.  No cars may enter the 180 Rodney Street entrance from 7:50 - 8:15 AM.

Early Arrival
Any student who arrives prior to 8:00 AM must report to Morning Care and be billed

Late Arrival
Students who arrive after 8:15 AM must report to the front office and request a late slip.  Students who have three or more unexcused lateness per trimester will have detention.

Special Needs

If a student needs help bringing something to the classroom, ex. Birthday treats, books, parents must leave items in the office labeled with the child's name/class.

Anyone who needs to speak to a teacher, administrator, or staff may write a note, call or e-mail.  The response will be in a timely manner.

 

DISMISSAL POLICY

 

Students are the responsibility of the parent/guardian upon dismissal.

Students who are not picked up by 2:55 PM will be brought to the office.

All students are expected to leave the area by 2:55 PM and not linger.

Primary wing students, Pre K, Kindergarten, Grade 1 and 2 will continue to exit via the primary door escorted by their teacher.  Older siblings may also exit out primary doors.  No adult may enter the building via the primary doors.  If you need to speak with faculty/staff, call in advance for an appointment.

Grade 3 through 8 students will continue to exit via the "Grade 8" doors.  No adult may enter the building via the Grade 8 doors.  If you need to speak with faculty/staff, call in advance for an appointment.

If your child is absent, you may request homework sent home via a sibling, or come to the front office after 3 PM to pick it up.

 

PRE-KINDERGARTEN

   Parents of preschool children will receive specific directions from the teacher for arrival and dismissal.  Doors will remain locked until arrival time (8:30 AM/11 AM/12 Noon) and until dismissal time (11 AM/2:30 PM).  Students will be dismissed directly to the parent/guardian.
